OUR STORY

I'm Tyler and Intuitune is my vision for helping stuck people get un-stuck. It's been many years since I first started my musical journey, and almost as many years since I first (unknowingly) stumbled upon meditation (both are stories for another time). But despite the many years put into both, it wasn't until I was recently forced to step away from my job as a product manager that the decade of prior work culminated into the life-changing breakthrough and insights needed to genuinely show up and actualize this vision.

Long story short(er) - for most of my adult life, I had been getting in my own way, letting my self-critic and old, long-standing beliefs hold me back. I was letting my mind run the show, solely focused on the future at the expense of the present. And, as a result of many factors (including our biological evolution to foresee danger), was dominated by fear and anxiety. The older I got, the worse things got. I was making myself miserable. And getting more numb as it went on. The perspectives and mindsets I operated from were holding me back from being truly present, vulnerable, and genuinely expressing myself. It wasn't until this recent breakthrough that I woke up to the realization that there were other ways for me to exist in and experience the world. And it wasn't until I started coming out of my "old" ways that I could begin to reflect on how much it impacted virtually every facet of my life: from music, to my relationships, to my mental and physical health. And it is from that very experience and new "life lens" that I'm now able to build this platform and cultivate this proverbial "acorn" in the way that I feel it deserves.

OUR VISION

Intuitune is a true passion project and work in progress. I do my best to only work on the creative content when I am operating from a genuine place - whether I’m particularly inspired, in flow, or have a valuable insight. It is an outlet to capture valuable lessons and creative insights in the attempt to help others in their journey.

I hope that the raw, unedited nature of Intuitune serves as inspiration and a testament to not relying on, being held back by, or waiting on external circumstance (i.e. needing fancy equipment or a big budget) to start cultivating your vision. When we are able to get an experiential glimpse at real peace, happiness, and expression, we start to realize that the internal (mindset, intention, behavior, reaction, consistency, effort, etc) is all we really need to bring about change.

Whether you have reached a barrier pertaining to the physical technique, theory, or mental visualization of guitar, are at an obstacle regarding mindset or some other object of the mind that has reach beyond music, or are simply observing with the hopes of finding something useful, I believe there is some lesson or insight for you here.

Through sharing my journey and experiences (with guitar, with meditation, and in life) and the insights I've gleamed from them, I hope that Intuitune will resonate with you on some level to develop, wherever you are at in your journey, so that we can eventually challenge each other to continue to grow for the better - as musicians and as people.
